ASEGUR\u00d3 QUE NO ENTIENDE \u201cESTA OBSESI\u00d3N DE LA IZQUIERDA DE QUERER DA\u00d1AR UNA ACTIVIDAD QUE CONGREGA A LA FAMILIA CHILENA CAMPESINA\u201d.<br><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><br>Su m\u00e1s profundo \u201crechazo\u201d al proyecto de ley que busca prohibir las carreras de perros galgos, manifest\u00f3 el diputado del Partido Republicano por el Maule Sur, Cristi\u00e1n Menchaca, toda vez que se trata de una actividad que tiene un fuerte \u201carraigo en el mundo campesino\u201d y que prohibirlos afectar\u00e1 una actividad que tiene un fuerte componente de tradiciones chilenas.<br><br>Al respecto, el parlamentario lament\u00f3 que sectores de la oposici\u00f3n \u201cest\u00e9n obsesionados con querer prohibir las carreras de perros galgos, al impulsar un proyecto muy similar al que fue rechazado hace dos a\u00f1os en esta misma C\u00e1mara Baja y que han intentado revivir en reiteradas oportunidades sin \u00e9xito\u201d.<br><br>\u201cLo que probablemente no saben\u201d, continu\u00f3 Menchaca, \u201ces que los can\u00f3dromos se encuentran sujetos a una normativa estricta: los recintos deben contar con per\u00edmetros cerrados, cada perro debe estar identificado mediante chip y controlado por un m\u00e9dico veterinario, quien tiene la obligaci\u00f3n de retirar de la competencia a cualquier animal que presente alteraciones fisiol\u00f3gicas. Este marco demuestra que la actividad se desarrolla con est\u00e1ndares de bienestar animal y que no existe maltrato inherente a las carreras\u201d.<br><br>\u201cMalamente podr\u00edamos hablar de maltrato animal.
